Band Instrument Repair

Perform any necessary repairs or replacement of parts essential for the correct
operation of the instrument. These repairs are authorized up to approximately
$50.00 without approval from the owner or the instrument.

Ultrasound is created by generators, which produce high frequency electricity. A transducer then converts this electricity into vibrating sound waves. As the sound waves travel through the liquid, microscopic bubbles this and repeatedly implode upon any surface of the instrument that the solution touches. This powerful action removes oil, grease, and organic deposits from the instrument.

Will only be performed on instruments deemed necessary by the repair tech or on request from the customer. See ultrasonic cleaning price list for costs.

Brass PC/Chem Flush includes dismantle and ultrasonic cleaning of the entire instrument and mouthpiece. All felts, cork washers, and waterkey corks are replaced. The instrument is lubricated and reassembled. Maior bell dents and easy to reach dents in small slides are removed. All other parts and repairs that are needed are at an additional cost.

Woodwind Ultrasonic Cleaning includes dismantle of the instrument, ultrasonic cleaning of the body, mouthpiece and head-joint. Major dents are removed and all keys are wiped down. The instrument is lubricated and reassembled. All replacement parts (i.e. pads, corks, felts, etc.) and needed repairs are at an additional cost.

Note: We do not ultrasonically clean wood bodied oboes and clarinets.

Instrument is disassembled. The body, head joint, mouthpiece, and all keys are
ultrasonically cleaned. All easily accessible dents are removed (where applicable).
Keys are leveled and straightened. All pads are replaced. Key corks, tenon/neck
corks, felts, and springs are replaced as needed. The instrument is reassembled,
lubricated, and adjusted.

Machine buffing of all keys on woodwinds and hand polishing of silver bodied
instruments. Done only in conjunction with a mechanical overhaul and at an
